Why Donate?
Through the generosity of many grant funders and sponsors, we are able to provide
emergency shelter and family support programs at no cost to the community. However
expenses such as clothing, food, utilities and maintenance of the shelter are not always
covered. Therefore we greatly depend on community support to help maintain the
shelter and nursery expenses.

Everyday we see children from infancy through 13 years of age who come to the shelter
and nursery who need the basics: clean clothing, shoes, socks, and underwear.
Through daily contributions from families and local stores we can ensure our children
have their own clothing that is age and gender appropriate. All hygiene items
(toothpaste, hairbrush, shampoo, deodorant, diaper rash ointment, medicine, etc.) must
be new and unopened please.

Where do you take your donation?
You can either bring your donation to the Child Crisis Center or directly to the Discovery
Shop, located at 4747 Hondo Pass (in Bradley Center, caddy corner to Village Inn).We
are also able to pick up donations at your home. Please contact the Discovery Shop at
915-757-0506.

What do we need?
We welcome any and all donations (from the kitchen sink to your old couch). Whatever
items we do not use for the children at our Center, we send to our thrift store, the
Discovery Shop located at 4747 Hondo Pass Dr., who sells the items for the Center.
The proceeds of the thrift store go to support the shelter and nursery annually. The store
also provides referred families with free clothing assistance.

We have several fundraisers such
as the Annual Memorial Golf
Tournament and Trot for Tots that
help raise dollars for the shelter,
nursery and family support

donations of $100, $500, $1,000 and
more.

Road Campaign

You may purchase:
a 4"x 8" brick for $100
an 8" x 8" brick for $500,
or a 12" x 12" brick for $1,000

The bricks will credit you or your
agency and will be permanently
displayed in the front lobby of the
Child Crisis Center.
