| This is a new program in addition to our regular volunteer program. This free training opportunity is a chance to give your time to children in need while getting back so much more in return! Volunteers in this program will become certified to assist childcare staff in taking care of children in the emergency shelter, conducting admissions and discharges, processing files, and other duties as needed. This volunteer service will allow you to see firsthand how the Child Crisis Center of El Paso cares for children in urgent need situations; but more importantly, you will walk away from this experience with a heart full of the love these children freely give to you. We are in need of certified volunteers for our morning, afternoon, weekend and graveyard shifts, as well as volunteers willing to drive children to and from school. Volunteer schedules will be flexible to fit your time, but we ask that you be willing to volunteer at least four to five times per month for at least six months. The Child Crisis Center of El Paso will pay for all required training to become certified which includes: 16 hours of Managing Aggressive Behavior training, CPR/First Aid certification, Food Handlers Card, drug test and background check.
