TEXAS VETERANS
COMMISSION FUND
The CCCEP would like to sincerely thank
the
Texas Veterans Commission Fund for
honoring us with a 24-month $313,953
grant to provide Texas veterans (including
active duty military) with emergency shelter
for their children and case management for
their families.  The Fund for Veterans’
Assistance provides grants to organizations
serving veterans and their families.
Funding for these grants comes from a
portion of Veterans scratch-off lottery ticket
sales.  To find out more about the Texas
Veterans Commission and the great work
that they do, please visit www.tvc.state.tx.us/
or call 512-463-6564.  You can also contact
the Veterans HOTLINE at 1-800-252-VETS
(8387).
VETERANS OF FOREIGN
WARS
A sincere thanks to the VFW Post 8550 for
honoring us with a $5,000 donation, raised
from their Bingo night.  This donation is in
addition to the $3,000 the VFW Post 8550
generously contributed to the Center from
their previous Bingo proceeds.  Veteran's
Day is November 11, 2010.  This fall, more
than 100,000 heroes are returning from
Iraq.  Thank a soldier and a veteran today!
EL PASO COMMUNITY

OJJDP JUVENILE
WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT
PROGRAM
The CCCEP would like to sincerely thank
the Office of Juvenile Justice and
Delinquency Prevention for awarding our
Center a $99,975 Juvenile Workforce
Development Program grant that will allow
us to expand our No Kidding: Straight Talk
From Teen Parents Program.  Under this
grant the Center will help teen parents learn
job skills, improve their parenting skills, and
become leaders in their community.  The
grant also provides funding to reduce
unplanned pregnancies among middle and
high school students through No Kidding
presentations by teen parents.
FT. BLISS OFFICERS',

United Way designations and allocations,
United Way has given our Center $44,900 in
grant funding to support our emergency
shelter and military case management
program that serves veterans, soldiers and
their families.  Even more importantly, United
Way funding shows the support of our
community as a whole.
A huge thanks to Planet Fitness for hosting
and sponsoring the 2011 Planet Fitness

HIGHTOWER FOUNDATION
WOLSLAGER FOUNDATION
We are honored to be the recipient of a
$75,000 grant from the Wolslager
Foundation.  The Wolslager Foundation has
supported our emergency shelter for several
years, and their funding has been critical in
growing our program to what it is today.
The Wolslager Foundation was established
to improve the quality of life for individuals
within the areas where J. W. and Josephine
S. Wolslager owned and operated Coca-
Cola franchises—southern Arizona
(including Pima, Cochise and Santa Cruz
counties), southern New Mexico (including
Las Cruces) and parts of west Texas
(including El Paso and San Angelo).
A great big thank you to Macy's  for their
continuous support in past years and for a
recent $6,500 grant for our emergency
shelter.  Another big thank you for the many
Macy's volunteers who help us throughout
the year!
