You can help make the difference in a
child's life.
Veterans of Foreign Wars 8550
I am not just a statistic....I am a child who is
hit instead of hugged,
yelled at instead of told "I love you,"
ignored instead of played with,
blamed instead of praised,
left to cry instead of held,
hungry instead of healthy,
sleeping in a car instead of a warm bed.
I am a child who needs your help.
The Child Crisis Center of El Paso protects and cares for
these children when the adults in their lives fail to do so.

How many children need to be hurt or killed to get our country to pay attention? Read the report below on child abuse today in our country.

The U.S. Department of Health and
Human Services has called violence
toward children a public health crisis.
“If 20 million people were infected by a
virus that caused anxiety, impulsivity,
aggression, sleep problems,
depression, respiratory and heart
problems, vulnerability to substance
abuse, antisocial and criminal behavior,
retardation and school failure, we would
consider it an urgent public health crisis.
Our society has yet to recognize this
epidemic, let alone develop an
immunization strategy."
Read more about it here.

Child abuse is more than bruises and
broken bones. While physical abuse
might be the most visible sign, other
types of abuse, such as emotional
abuse, sexual abuse, or child neglect
also leave deep, long lasting scars.

abuse here.
